Hi. My name is Ashley. My hobbies are singing, dancing, and studying. I love cats.
I'm a normal high school student from southern Manitoba, and this is my blog.
In grade seven, through various media (DBZ, FFX-2) I discovered an island in Asia, Japan. I started to develop an interest in Japan and the Japanese culture. I wanted to start learning how to communicate in Japanese, so I embarked on the long, stressful, love-hate relationship with Japanese by teaching myself. I had a rough few years at the beginning, with personal issues and slight depression(lol emo kid) and whatnot, but I'm past that and ready to move forward onto whatever the future has in store for me, which is why I am writing this blog.
Twas a normal day in my grade eight year, I was sitting at home watching a classic TV show, Disney's Recess. On this particular episode of the show, there was an exchange student, all the way from Norway, visiting the kids of Third Street school. And this, ladies and gentlemen, was where the lightbulb flickered on. I had the ingenious idea of 'Hey, maybe I could do that.'
So from there, it's been a long four years of debating whether or not to go through with it, and finally I did it. Maybe if I had more friends and was out playing(rather than playing video games and watching TV), my life would have taken a whole new path. But that's not why this blog exists, nor why you are here reading it.
So I must thank you for coming and reading this blog, and I hope I can inspire you as people have inspired me.
